Western Area Command
Tehran Mehrabad Int'l (OIII) 1st Tactical Air Base Rwy: 09/27, 11R/29L Pos: 35° 41' 21.00" N 051° 18' 48.30" E Elevation 3962 feet
This base houses besides the main F-14A Overhaul facilities also facilities of Iranian Aircraft Industries (IACI) as well as the Iranian Helicopter Support and Manufacturing Company (IHSMC). This picture of L-1329-8 Jetstar 1004 is one of the few post-revolution pictures we were able to obtain. It is used for VIP flights and possibly also calibration flights from Tehran-Mehrabad and its previous ID is EP-VRP.

The HQ of the Northern Helicopter Command is located here as well as the UAV logistics support command
You can discuss wether is a civilian aircrat or not. Fact is that you will not see many civillian aircraft equipped with a fully operational tankprobe. This 747, the EP-SHD of SAHA "airlines" is in fact owned by the Iran Air Force (Service Ertebaataat Havaaee Artesh (Military Air Transportation Service)). Several examples were seen at Schiphol Airport in 1992 and 1993.

Nozheh (OIHH) (Hamadan, Shahrokhi) 3rd Tactical Air Base Rwy: 10/28 Pos: 34° 52' 05.40" N 048° 33' 08.31" E Elevation 5763 feet

Esfahãn/Shahid Beheshti Int'l (OIFM) (formerly Khatami) 8th Tactical Air Base Rwy: 07R/25L, 08L/26R Pos: 32° 45' 02.60" N 051° 51' 42.10" E Elevation 5072 feet
Quoted as 12th Tactical Air Base (see Masjed Suleyman). This base is the HQ of the AF Logistics Command. Reported here are Pilatus PC-6s with the VIP/Support sq.
Southern Area Command
Bushehr (OIBB) 6th Tactical Air Base Rwy: 13R/31L Pos: 28° 56' 41.32" N 050° 50' 04.69" E Elevation 70 feet

Chah Bahar (OIZC) (Chabahar) 10th Tactical Air Base Rwy: 09R/27L Pos: 25° 26' 36.00" N 060° 22' 55.60" E Elevation 24 feet

Within the 1972 thru 1976 timeframe, the IIAA took delivery of 70 CH-47Cs from Agusta Elicotteri MeridionaliAn additional 50 were ordered later but due to the 1979 revolution, deliveries never materialized.

Iran still operates a large fleet of Herculesses even after the arms-embargos were established. The local aviation industry has developed programs to maintain and upgrade these aircraft.

Masjed Suleyman aka Shahid Asyaee (OIAI) ??th Tactical Air Base Rwy: 12/30, 14/32 Pos: 32° 00' 08.29" N 049° 16' 14.40" E Elevation 1187 feet
This is one of the newest bases and it is also quoted as 12th TAB (see Masjed Suleyman). The AH-1J(TOW) also quoted as AH-1Q For some types more than one unit may be active here.
Bakhtaran (OICC) (Shahid Ashrafi Esfahani aka Kermanshah) 4th Support Base Rwy: 11/29 Pos: 34° 20' 47.10" N 047° 09' 23.70" E Elevation 4307 feet
The primary role of the RH-53D is Airborne Mine Countermeasures (AMCM) and can also be used for shipboard delivery and troop transportation. Click here for the Air Force overview at Bushehr.
This IIN Falcon 20 with serial number 5-2804 visited Munich in 1976. Since 1979 the IIN designation changed to IRINA.

Bandar Abbas Navy field Rwy: ??/?? Pos: 27° 10' N 056° 10' E Elevation ?? feet
The Navy Patrol Squadron is also reported to be operating an RC-130 and P-3F Orions (which belong to the IRIAF). The location of the Navy AC690s is unknown. Might be Tehran Mehrabad? Stationed in the South of Iran at Bushehr Heliport and Bandar Abbas Navy Field are the SH-3Ds of the IRINA or Islamic Republic of Iranian Navy Aviation that was called the Imperial Iranian Navy pre-revolution.
